Board of Directors

Annually, the members who attend the annual general meeting elect the Board of Directors who will then be in charge of the affairs of the Credit Union during the year. They are elected for three-year staggered terms, so that at all times a majority of the Board have had one or more years of experience.

Directors

Chair of the Board - Gary Leitch

Gary Leitch has been a member of the Police Credit Union since 1965.  He retired from the Metropolitan Toronto Police Service in 1996 after the completion of 31 years with the rank of Staff Inspector.  In 2002 he became a member of the Sub-Audit Group and served in that capacity until September 2008 when he became a member of the Board.  He was a member of the Audit Committee and chaired the Policy Committee. He is currently Chair of the Board of Directors.



Vice-Chair - Bob Spafford

Bob Spafford has been a Credit Union member for over 40 years and was elected to the Board in 2003.  Bob spent over 32 years as a civilian employee of Metro Toronto Police, working in the Records Bureau and Data Processing Unit. At our Credit Union, Bob is an active member of the Board and has served on the Audit, Policy and Social Committees.  Although retired, he remains a passionate member of the Board and also spends time volunteering in the community. Bob currently holds the position of Vice Chair of the Board.


Director - Eric Jolliffe

Eric Jolliffe has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Police Credit Union for the past 20 years and served as Chair for three years.  He serves on the Southlake Regional Hospital Foundation Board and is on the Board of Directors of St. Andrew’s College.  Eric is active in the community and is proud of the partnerships he has developed with the various diverse communities in this Region. Eric is currently a Deputy Chief with York Regional Police.



Director - Grant MacNeil

Grant MacNeil has served on the Board of Directors for 12 years after having volunteered  for 6 years on the Credit Union's Supervisory Committee.   Grant retired from Toronto Police in 2003 following 33 years of service.  He continues to volunteer in his community working with special needs children, as well as the "Kids Now"  leadership program.   



Director - Gary Rossitter

Gary Rossitter has been a member of the Police Credit Union since 1967, when he joined the Metro Toronto Police Department and was assigned to the Records Bureau.  He is an ardent advocate for the members of the Credit Union by ensuring staff have the required knowledge and know-how to provide superior service delivery.  Gary has served the members in a variety of positions on committees and the Board for the past 18 years and will continue to do so at your pleasure. 

 



Director - Ian Russell

Ian B. Russell is a retired police officer serving 36 years in Toronto and as Chief of Police in LaSalle, Ontario.  He was a senior officer in charge of the Bail and Parole Unit in Toronto acting as the liaison officer to both federal and provincial corrections ministries and the Toronto Bail Program.  Following retirement from policing, directorships included the Co-operative Trust Company of Canada, Concentra Financial,  Credit Union Central of Ontario, Ontario Credit Union Charitable Foundation and Chair, Police Credit Union Limited.  Community volunteer activities included service organizations, community and youth sports groups, and victims’ groups.  He holds a certificate in management studies from the University of Toronto, Honours Certificate, Seneca College and is a graduate of executive management programs from the Ontario Police College, Aylmer, Canadian Police College, Ottawa and the Credit Union Director Achievement Program.



Director - George Tucker

George Tucker has 30 years of policing service. After 24 years as a Police Constable in 52 Division, he was elected to the Board of the Toronto Police Association and was a Director for six years. George has been a member of the Executive Board of the Police Association of Ontario. George was elected to the Police Credit Union’s Board of Directors in 2000 and is a Board member of Youth Assisting Youth, a charitable organization for youth mentoring.
