BULLETIN FROM CUETS MASTERCARD

We have received a report of a phishing email being sent to credit union staff and members. This has been escalated.

CUETSŪ Financial is encouraging credit unions to remind members not to disclose personal or financial information over the phone or on the internet. Recently, several MasterCard cardholders have been contacted in an e-mail scam. In the e-mail, cardholders are being asked to update their account information for their credit union MasterCard credit card as a result of an asset purchase of CUETS Financial - a division of MBNA Canada Bank by TD Bank Group. These e-mails are fraudulent.

Delete this e-mail and do not click on the link in the message. The e-mail directs you to a fraudulent version of the cuets.ca site where you are asked to enter account information such as your social insurance number, credit card number, card PIN and CVC number (the security code found on the back of a credit card). Please do not disclose any of your personal information over the phone or Internet.
