Bond of Association History Supporting Our Own >> Supporting Our Own We feel that our members deserve much more than basic banking and financial services. That is why at the Police Credit Union we’ve come to value our members as a part of our team and have come up with additional services and opportunities to show them how much we value their input. With our New Advisory Committees and Liaison Officers, you now have a direct line of communication to those who can change the Credit Union for the better. We have always felt that the strongest groups communicate well but also know when it’s time to kick back and relax. That is why we bring you our various publications and support the Police Association picnics and Christmas parties. Here are some of our activities within the policing community: Advisory Committees A select number of volunteers from various police services sit on an advisory committee representing Toronto, York, Durham and Peel Regions. This group meets twice a year to discuss Credit Union issues and suggest initiatives to help our members build a stronger relationship with their Credit Union. Liaison Officers We are fortunate to have a contact person in each police division to help us get the Credit Union message across. They also help in distributing the annual court calendar books, a very popular item with both members and non-members. Police Association Picnics and Christmas Parties We are proud to assist in any way we can to make these annual family activities a more enjoyable experience for police personnel and their families. Police Publications We support several police publications through advertising, including Toronto, Durham, York, and Halton. Ontario Police College When recruits go to Aylmer for their 12 weeks of training, staff from the Police Credit Union spend a day at OPC to meet, greet and answer any questions these new officers may have on how the Credit Union can help them with their financial needs now and in the future. We also attend the graduation ceremonies to show our support for these new officers. |
