Designated Babysitter

When parents “ask” you to baby-sit your younger brothers and sisters for the summer, don’t complain.  Try to negotiate an appropriate fee for all your hard work.

Assuming you will do a good job, as in, your siblings will be well taken care of, entertained and fed, it might be very worth your while to sib-sit.

Ask for a Big Ticket Item that can be hard to achieve on your own:

- A New Bike
- Concert Tickets
- Skateboard
- Day Pass & Bus Ticket to a Theme Park
- Driver’s Training Classes
- A new music player/smart device

And be sure to work out in advance a few days “off”, where your parents make other arrangements for the younger kids and you get to do something with your friends.
