2021 Board of Directors Statement of Interest

Thank you for providing me with the opportunity to stand for election as a Director for the Board of The Police Credit Union. I believe that my twenty-seven years of experience as a police officer with the Halton Regional Police Service, and active involvement as a police labour representative, make me a strong candidate for this position.

Throughout my career and involvement with the Police Association I have been a member of many committees. I believe that the success of any Board depends on the integrity and commitment of the individual Directors. It is imperative for a Board to be united and cohesive in all matters, especially when communicating a plan and strategy to the key stakeholders.

I have demonstrated these qualities at an exceptional level with honesty and accountability as a Director of my local police association (2006-2010 and 2020 – current), as the association president (2014-2016), and as a member of the Police Association of Ontario - Finance and Audit Committee (2015-2016).

The Police Credit Union provides exemplary client service and responsible asset management to all the members and their families. It is especially important in these times of global financial uncertainty that Boards such as this one is composed of individuals that will be dedicated and committed to the longevity and success of the organization. I believe that I would be an excellent candidate to represent the best interests of the Credit Union as a whole and each of the individual members.
